Auto power on mod

Sometimes my power line fail and my router and server lost it's power. Server can auto start after power loss and router can't. This mod enables instant power to router and router just turn on after power loss. Power switch stop working after this mod, you've warned.

Router have 3 power lines: +3.3v, +1.8v and +5v. +5v is always on and used to switch other lines on through power button and for something else. Power switching made of transistor key, when you push power button, transistor key opens and enable +3.3v and +1.8v power lines.

All we need is just short this key like on picture. You need a small piece of wire. Solder one end to plus side of power socket and second end to plus side of one of capacitors which you can see on the left of arrow. You should get something like on picture on the right. That's all.

Telnet Mod for 1.01.03 firmware

I'm opening this blog, because my server and domain are down now. And I have some more mods than just telnet one to publish.

Notice: This mod is for Annex A.

As you know Linksys deleted telnet from 1.01.03 firmware update "for security reasons". Ok, there are some fixes in this update, but we need telnet sometimes too. So, what to do? Well, I recompiled firmware from GPL source code provided by Linksys with telnet enabled, and make a firmware update for you. You just need to download it and update through modem web face. Do not update while you are on wireless connection, do it through ethernet.
